Our latest restoration is the last ever Works Rothmans chassis built new for the1987 season finishing on the podium in every 1000k race during it's first season in the hands of Derek Bell / Hans Stuck and secured pole position at Le Mans with Jochen Mass, Bob Wollek and Vern Schuppan.

For Le Mans 88 962-008 was rebuilt to the later MP1.7 specification but now sporting the Shell Dunlop livery. Famously driven by Mario, Michael and John Andretti finishing sixth after an engine issue meant they would complete the race on five cylinders denying them a potentially historic result. Three more races followed resulting in two podium finishes before being sold to Vern Schuppan for the start of the 1989 season where it would compete in Japan through to 1990 sporting the Omron livery. Subsequently 008 was sold to a prominent US collector who raced it extensively in vintage racing prior to being acquired by Henry Pearman for his Historic Porsche Collection.
